ST. LOUIS  •  A woman was knocked unconscious in a neighborhood brawl that included attackers as young as 11 years old, police say.

The fight erupted Monday afternoon in the 3700 block of Bamberger Avenue, on the southern edge of the city's Tower Grove South neighborhood. The victims and suspects all live on Bamberger, police say.

The fight began, police say, when the attackers came down the street to confront the victims about a previous incident. Neighbors say the victims are refugees. Neighbors are raising money to help them with medical bills.

Police say they got multiple calls at about 1:30 p.m. Monday for a disturbance. They found four victims who had been assaulted: two women, ages 27 and 29, and two men, 20 and 19.

The 27-year-old woman is the one who had been knocked out before officers arrived. She was taken to a hospital, where she was stable. Police did not release information about her medical condition and injuries. The other victims declined medical treatment, police said.

The victims lived on the same street as seven suspects, who ranged in age from 11 to 22. Police have not released the identities of the suspects.

Police said they took three people into custody: a woman, 22, and two girls, ages 14 and 15. They are seeking four other suspects — an 11-year-old boy, an 11-year-old girl, an 18-year-old male and another man.
