ST. LOUIS • St. Louis police are investigating after four people were shot, one fatally, near downtown at about 5:30 p.m.
The other three victims were in critical condition, police said.
The shooting occurred at 17th and Pine streets. One of the victims was found dead in the 200 block of North 17th Street, near a 7 Eleven that was the scene of a homicide earlier this year involving a homeless man.
The section of Olive between 16th and 17th streets was closed to traffic, but the section of 17th Street in front of the 7 Eleven has been re-opened.
Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS.
Editor's note: This story has been revised to reflect that while one shooting victim died in the 200 block of North 17th Street, police say the shooting occurred in the 1600 block of Olive Street.
