ST. LOUIS • Police have identified two people killed early Saturday on the parking lot of a gas station.

Jalen Woods, 17, and Amber Green, 25, were inside a car with three other people refueling at a station on Union Boulevard when two masked men approached and opened fire about 12:50 a.m., police said. The gas station is in the 1600 block of Union, at Theodosia Avenue.

The people in the car tried to flee, and crashed into an air dispensing machine, where police found the victims.

Green was pronounced dead at the scene. Woods was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police initially said a third person had died and a fourth was taken to a hospital in critical condition, but on Monday said that two men from the car, ages 23 and 18, were at a hospital in critical but stable condition.

A fifth person from the car, a 25-year-old woman, suffered a scrape on her foot and was treated at the scene.

Police did not have a detailed description of the gunmen.
