Police ID teen shot to death at St. Louis bus stop

ST. LOUIS • A teenager was shot and killed Tuesday night at a bus stop in St. Louis, police say.

Anthony Jones, 17, was shot several times at about 11 p.m. Tuesday in the 6800 block of Michigan Avenue. He died at a local hospital. Jones lived in the 6900 block of Virginia Avenue.

Police say the shooter is still on the loose. Police do not have a description of him.

Police say Jones had been at the bus stop with a friend when two men walked up and asked where they could buy drugs.

One of the men took out a gun and started shooting, police say. Jones was hit several times; his friend ran off and was uninjured, police say. He came back later and talked to police officers.
