ST. LOUIS COUNTY — Police have identified a man killed Monday while crossing Lemay Ferry Road in south St. Louis County as a 64-year-old from the Mehlville area.
Sevkija Ferhatovic, 64, was struck about 6:15 p.m. while riding a motorized wheelchair across the road just south of Victory Drive. He was taken to a hospital where he died.
The 32-year-old driver of the 2010 Mazda 3 sedan that struck Ferhatovic remained on scene and is cooperating with police.
