WARREN COUNTY • Stephen M. Labruyere, 30, was in custody Tuesday after police say he supplied vodka to a teen who nearly died of alcohol poisoning.
The 16-year-old boy had a blood alcohol content of 0.349 — more than four times the rate used to charge a drunken driver — when he was taken by ambulance to a Lake Saint Louis hospital.
The incident happened July 16 at Labruyere's home in the 13000 block of Ridgewood Drive near Wright City. Police said Labruyere is a neighbor of the teen.
Labruyere was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. His bail was set at $10,000 cash.
