St. Louis' 107th homicide victim identified

ST. LOUIS • Two fatal shootings five hours apart Saturday morning on the city's north side are under investigation.

At 3 a.m. police were called to the rear of the 3000 block of Whittier. They found a man, identified as Ronnie Jennings, 22, of the 4300 block of San Francisco Avenue, unconscious and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man had been shot in his head, cheek and leg.

He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was the city's 107th homicide victim. No witnesses were found. 

Just over five hours later, officers responded at 8:20 a.m. to another call of shots fired and found the body of a man fatally shot in the 2100 block of College Avenue. Police released few details.
