Samwell Fowler

Samwell Fowler of St. Louis was charged March 16 with two counts of enticement of a child after he allegedly lured two young sisters from the South County Center in an attempt to have sex with them.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY   •   A St. Louis man lured two young sisters from the South County Center earlier this month in an attempt to have sex with them, police say.

Samwell L. Fowler, 25, of the 5600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, was charged Saturday with two counts of enticement of a child.

Police said Fowler asked the sisters, 11 and 13, if they needed a ride as they were leaving the mall about closing time March 8. The sisters told police they agreed, got in Fowler's car and were driven past their house to a nearby alley where he asked them for sexual favors.

When the girls refused, Fowler offered them money, police said. The sisters managed to unlock the car's doors and walk home. They were not injured.

The older sister reported the incident to a school resource officer on Friday, police said.

Police said a joint investigation by detectives from the St. Louis County Police Department and St. Louis city's intelligence division led them to Fowler. He was jailed Monday in lieu of a $50,000 cash bail.
