ST. LOUIS • Weather forecasters here say to expect cloudy, cool weather and a continuing chance of rain over this big weekend as St. Louis hosts Cardinals plyaoff baseball and potentially thousands of Ferguson protesters.

Jayson Gosselin, meteorologist with the National Weather Service, said nothing in the forecast calls for severe storms.

Friday morning's steady rain should be sliding south for Friday afternoon and evening, he said. There could be some drizzle sticking around Friday night.

After that, if the rain comes, it will probably be a light rain, with possible pockets of drizzle.

On Saturday, the high temperature will be in the mid- to upper-50s, Gosselin said. Saturday evening looks like a 20 to 30 percent chance of light rain.

On Sunday, it could be a bit warmer. Gosselin said the forecast calls for a high in the low 60s. It will be slightly cloudy, he said, with a slightly better chance for rain at 40 percent.

At a minimum, it will be cloudy and cool all through the weekend, he said.
