UPDATED at 3:05 p.m. Thursday with the re-opening of the Brussels Ferry.

After a stretch of days navigating roads closed due to floodwater, including interstates, the commute was mostly back to normal Monday.

Missouri Department of Transportation crews were working to clear debris, checking for flood damage and making repairs. All interstates are open.

The cleanup comes after a series of road closures that included shutting down three miles of Interstate 55 in both directions early Thursday due to Meramec River flooding, between Butler Hill Road and Highway 141.

It was the third major interstate shut down by the flood. Further west, Meramec floodwater forced the closures of all lanes of Interstate 44 early Wednesday from Interstate 270 to Gray Summit.

Part of Interstate 70 closed in St. Charles County after flash flooding swamped lanes near Dardenne Creek as rain poured down, as was Interstate 70 between mile markers 36 and 41 in Bond County, near Pocahontas.

Highway 109 north of Interstate 44 in Eureka, Highway 21 at Highway 141, Highway 30 and Highway 141 at Interstate 44 also were closed, but are now open.

The park-ride lot at Highway 141 near Interstate 44 has re-opened, Metro Transit said, and can be used by bus passengers looking to catch the #210 Fenton Gravois Bluffs and the #410X Eureka Express MetroBus routes.

The #61 Chambers, #75 Lilac-Hanley and the #73 Carondelet on Monday returned to their normal routes.
