A 15-year-old girl from Frankford, Mo., died in a two-vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon in Pike County.

The accident occured shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Highway 61 at Missouri Route RA, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Brendan D. Weber, 18, of Bowling Green, Mo., driving a 1993 Ford Taurus was westbound on 61 when he tried to turn onto Route RA. Then, a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, traveling southbound, hit the right side of Weber's car, the Highway Patrol said.

The Cruze was driven by Martin E. Snyder, 65, of Cecilia, Ky.

A passenger in Weber's car, Hannah L. Buchanan, 15, was taken to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, where she was pronounced dead.

Snyder and two passengers in his vehicle were treated and released.
