Parkway West High School hosted a Special Olympics basketball event for about 200 athletes from the Special School District of St. Louis County on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. It's the first time the event has been held indoors since 2020, due to previous COVID-19 restrictions. The event, now in its 20th year, is completely organized and led by the high school's student government council and student volunteers.
