Protester in Florissant accidentally shoots himself in the foot

A protester in Florissant accidentally shot himself in the foot on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. The protester was standing in front of a line of Florissant police officers when he discharged his long rifle, striking himself in the foot. The shot caused immediate panic and confusion that was quickly brought under control by the police. The injured protester was taken into custody and given first aid. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was expected to recover. About 100 protesters had gathered in front of the police station calling for an end to police brutality.
