Kansas man, 19, accused of sitting on and killing dog


A 19-year-old man from Overland Park faces a felony charge after he was accused of killing a dog by sitting on it.

Raphael Bright posted $10,000 bond on Thursday in Johnson County Court in metro Kansas City on the charge of cruelty to animals, on the conditions that he follows mental health recommendations, including taking of medication, and stays at least 100 feet from any animal, according to court records.

Bright was arrested and taken to jail on Wednesday.

The dog died on Dec. 21 in Overland Park, but other details weren't available, according to The Kansas City Star.
