ST. LOUIS   •   Crews will close eastbound lanes on Highway 40 to place girders for the new Jefferson Avenue bridge.

MoDOT and contractor Fred Weber Inc. will close eastbound Highway 40 (Interstate 64) for as much as 15 minutes at a time during the night. 

While the work is under way, two eastbound lanes will remain closed at all times starting at 8 p.m. Friday. All eastbound lanes are scheduled to be open by 9 a.m. Saturday.

Similar work is planned for the westbound lanes of Highway 40 on Friday, June 14.
