Police shoot and kill woman with gun

• May 10: Police fatally shot Robin White, 50, a black woman, after police say she pointed a gun at officers in the 3600 block of Wilmington Avenue.

Relatives told reporters White suffered from mental issues. Police said neighbors called police after they heard shots being fired in the neighborhood. Officers arrived to find White "firing shots indiscriminately," according to a police summary. When officers ordered her to drop the gun, she pointed at them and an officer opened fire.

Police recovered the weapon White had and said they found at least 10 spent casings from her gun. Officers found two cars nearby damaged by shots she had fired.
