College admissions scandal reveals huge parenting fail

  • 0

I read about how Felicity Huffman, Lori Loughlin and other wealthy families reportedly paid millions of dollars and cheated to get their children into the school of their choice (“College bribery scandal,” March 13). Changing and correcting test scores, lying on athletic profiles and bribing college coaches to get their children into certain schools is not the way to go about this process.

If I was a high school student who was applying to college and others were admitted instead of me because their parents cheated for them, I would be extremely disappointed. People who do not deserve to attend a certain school do not have the right to take the place of someone who does just because the parents have billions of dollars.

This was truly the biggest college scam America has ever seen, and I hope that the talented students that deserve to get in to these schools will be given a place instead of these untrustworthy frauds.
