I was astonished to find out that some day care facilities in our country which are receiving federal dollars are not licensed and inspected. Why this has been allowed to happen is beyond my understanding. Anyone taking federal money has no right to object to oversight, especially when the lives of little children are at stake.
If you operate one of these places and you are a taker of federal money, then you're not running a private facility. In my view, any legislator who has blocked this oversight is morally corrupt for not putting the welfare of these children ahead of their own personal feelings.
To know that little children have died in some of these places should make all of us angry at those in our Legislature for blocking this.
