I am sorry for the parents of the late Michael Brown. I have children, and the thought of burying one of my children is gut-wrenching. That being said, I believe that it is time for Michael's parents to reclaim his name. Reclaim it from the thieves, arsonists, law breakers, political opportunists and flag burners (a legal but repugnant action). I am sure that I am not the only veteran who fought for the flag and escorted bodies of friends who came home under the same flag who are disheartened at the actions of those who blithely burn our flag.
Again, I wish the parents well and hope that they are able to find peace. The people, and they are not all of the protesters, who denigrate Michael's name for their own reasons should be ashamed.
