Regarding "Safety-violence debate goes on" (Sept. 16):
I would like to see an article in the Post-Dispatch revealing how much money the National Rifle Association spent on our legislative leaders to get them to hold the opinions that unlicensed, untrained carriers of concealed weapons will make our state safer.
And that it's OK to shoot someone if you feel threatened, even if you do nothing to defuse a conflict.
And that the children of these untrained, unlicensed people will be any safer with those guns in their homes.
Yes, I expect the NRA is jubilant with this piece of legislative action. I just wonder how much they paid for it.
