Is it so important to be an NFL city? St. Louis would benefit more by being known as a city that offers excellent education.
When youngsters are inspired to learn, they don't turn into street thugs later. They see a way out of poverty by using their head instead of a gun. What a disgrace that some of our public school districts are unaccredited.
Great cities address the needs of their citizens. They don't divert funds for circuses that distract attention from the core problem. Let's build a better system for educating our youth and let some other city be the sucker that pays for favors from the NFL.
