Mixed-up priorities in spending on new stadium

It is difficult to express my dismay at the possibility of the building of a new stadium in St. Louis. Millions of dollars would go for entertainment — for football —  instead of spending time and effort raising funds that could be used for cancer research, research for the curing of heart disease, ALS, MS, Parkinson's, diabetes, or so many other devastating diseases.

In addition, wouldn't it be great to give the St. Louis public schools a lift? And, apparently, buildings of historic significance would be destroyed. Where are our priorities? I am ashamed.
