Regarding “Restored Mission Control comes alive 50 years after Apollo” (June 29): This Associated Press story was about NASA’s Apollo flight director Gene Kranz, and his role in the recent restoration of Mission Control in Houston. It should be proudly noted that Kranz is a 1954 graduate of Parks Air College — then, as now, a division of St. Louis University. His trademarks at Mission Control were his white vest, his flattop haircut and a cigar.
