In the letter "Yes to immigration reform; no to Senate bill" (June 20), the author compares the Berlin Wall to a possible border fence here in the U.S. Unfortunately that comparison misses the fact that the Berlin Wall was to keep people in while the border fence is to keep people out! That's like comparing the lock on a prison door with the lock on my house. All locks and doors and walls are not created equal.
The reality is that all nations control their borders; otherwise they soon cease to be a nation.
