A New Randall’s Wines and Spirits Store is Coming to The Hill

St. Louis, MO – April 28, 2021 – Randall’s Wines and Spirits, St. Louis’ #1 Liquor Store, will be opening a fifth location at 4925 Southwest Avenue in The Hill Neighborhood.  Conveniently located at the bustling intersection of Southwest and Kingshighway, the new 13,000 square foot Randall’s will feature a seminar space for classes and events as well as a dedicated whiskey room.  Randall’s expects the store to open by August 1, 2021 with Grand Opening details to follow.  “Who would have thought, when we started 22 years ago, that we would be opening our fifth store,” muses owner George Randall.  “I just want to say thank you so very much for our continued success.  We’re blessed to have the support of such amazing customers and staff.”

The newest Randall’s store will offer the same enormous selection, expert knowledge, and interactive customer service that customers have come to expect, but there will be a few twists particular to the new location.  “We know that St. Louis goes to the Hill for a local taste of Italy, and we absolutely want to be part of that,” says Todd Randall, the company’s Vice President.  “If you know our stores, you already know they’re not as cookie-cutter as the chains.  We want our stores to be a part of the neighborhood, and so each one is a little different.  They all have their own personality.  So naturally, being on The Hill, we’re going to be a little more wine focused, and we’re going to have more Italian items.  We import directly from Italy, and so our selection of those wines is already a little fresher and more personal.  And if we’re talking about value, our imports really over-deliver for what you pay.  We’re also going to be working as closely as we can with the local restaurants, bringing their chefs, sommeliers and bartenders into Randall’s to host tastings in our seminar room, and to spotlight the things they love.”

The new Whiskey Room is another first for Randall’s.  “High-end whiskey has been a big part of Randall’s since my dad opened that first store in Fairview Heights back in 1998,” explains Todd.  “There wasn’t the craze for it then like there is now, but it was probably the only store anywhere close where you could get things like 30 year-old Macallan Scotch or 20 year old Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon.”  “It was,” adds George.  “We were also the first store outside of Kentucky to carry Buffalo Trace Bourbon, and the first to offer single barrel selections.  Randall’s has always been way ahead of the trend.  And with so much focus on whiskey now, it just made sense to have a dedicated space.”  That space, says George, will be host to private whiskey tastings and barrel selections.

Randall’s Wines and Spirits is a locally owned St Louis family business selling wine, spirits, beer, cocktails, and accessories since 1998.  In addition to the new location opening at 4925 Southwest Ave, Randall’s operates stores in St. Louis City (1910 S. Jefferson Ave.), West County (14201 Manchester Road), North County (11000 Old Halls Ferry Rd.) and Fairview Heights, IL (10800 Lincoln Trail).  The chain has been the recipient of several local awards including the RFT’s “Best Liquor Store”, Sauce Magazine Reader’s Choice “Favorite Bottle shop”, and St. Louis Magazine’s “Best Beer Selection.”  Randall’s has also won several national awards including the “Market Watch Leaders Award,” and was recently honored as one of Beverage Dynamics’ “Top 100 Retailers.”
