Emerest Health

Brings Higher CDS Wages to Missouri

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

St. Louis, Mo, August 28, 2019 – Emerest Health of Missouri announces they are offering a higher wage of $12 per hour for Consumer Directed Service - CDS caregivers.Emerest is a home healthcare agency for Missouri’s CDS program. CDS is a Medicaid-funded program that enables Missouri seniors and individuals with special health needs to hire the caregiver of their choice to help with daily activities. This personal care attendant (PCA) is traditionally a family member or may also be a friend or neighbor.

“Research shows that quality care strongly correlates with compensation,” says Josh Klein, CEO of Emerest Health. “We believe that when we pay caregivers a respectable wage of $12 an hour, they can provide better care to their patient, thus benefiting the patient, their family, their community and the entire state of Missouri.”

A caregiver can help clean, cook, bathe, dress and run errands for the CDS participant.

Most importantly, they are someone that is trusted to give quality, reliable care.

Emerest Health pays the highest posted wages for Consumer Directed Services in Missouri. When an eligible Missourian signs up through Emerest, caregivers will earn $12 per hour. If someone is already signed up for CDS care, they can easily switch to Emerest and their caregiver will earn $12 per hour.

“I believe that the CDS program plays a vital role in the health and happiness of many Missourians,” said Klein, “and I’m grateful to enable families and friends to care for each other with respect and dignity.”

Emerest Health is a well-known home healthcare agency that is growing rapidly and operates in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and now in Missouri. They are located at 9270 Olive Blvd. and can be reached at 1-833-WE-PAY-12 (1-833-937-2912) or online at www.wepay12.com.
