Final Call for Nominations: St. Louis Women of Achievement Award

Women of Achievement: Call for Nominations, now - March 19, 2021

It’s the last few weeks to nominate an outstanding female volunteer to be a 2021 Woman of Achievement.

Whether it’s a friend, neighbor or family member who has decades of volunteerism to her name or a woman who started a nonprofit organization to better serve the St. Louis community, Women of Achievement wants to hear about them. The St. Louis Women of Achievement Award, which celebrates its 66thanniversary in 2021, is the oldest, ongoing program in the area whose sole mission is to honor and recognize the volunteer service and volunteer leadership of women. The deadline for the call for nominations for the 2021 Class of Honorees is midnight Friday, March 19, 2021.

Online submissions and printable nomination forms with full details are available at http://woastl.org/nominate. Nominations may be submitted online or via email. Online submissions are preferred. Directions for mail or hand-delivered submissions can also be found on the Women of Achievement website.

Eligible individuals are female volunteers from the St. Louis metropolitan area, including Metro East Illinois, who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to the betterment of the St. Louis region through voluntary contributions, volunteer leadership and a significant breadth of a volunteer career. Women of Achievement considers nominees with substantial volunteer impact in areas such as, but not limited to, education, arts, health and human services, youth and family, philanthropy, social justice and advocacy. Nominations of women representing diverse cultures, roles and accomplishments are encouraged. Multiple nominations of the same individual are accepted. Self-nominations are accepted.

The 10 honorees will be recognized during the 66th Annual Women of Achievement Awards Celebration video broadcast on Nine PBS in September 2021. This year’s event chair is Ida Early and the event vice chairs are Lynn Hamilton and Kathie Winter. Presenting sponsors are KMOX Radio, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Ladue News, and Nine PBS. Kranzberg Arts Foundation is the broadcast sponsor.
