Illinois Women in Cannabis events offer the opportunity for residents in neighboring cities to learn more about new laws and policies as well as the economic, entrepreneurial and investment opportunities available as Illinois expands its cannabis-use programs.

Illinois Women in Cannabis’ most recent networking event was attended by over 600 women and men, honoring public servants who passed the Illinois adult-use cannabis law via the legislature.

“This Illinois Women in Cannabis meet-up provides Southern Illinoisans interested in Illinois’ expanding marketplace a chance to network in a casual environment. Our statewide mission is to facilitate and foster connections and collaboration, and we’re excited to host this down-state event in a centralized location that accommodates Southern Illinois’ dispersed communities," said, Cindy Kosydor, IWC member and Cannabis Marketing Specialist and Consultant.

Advocates, like Jim Thompson regularly attend events to celebrate advancements and expanded access. “The medical cannabis program has 11 more conditions like chronic pain. At IWC’s networking events, I always make new friends who have common health concerns,” said Thompson, who founded a Benzodiazepine Withdrawal support group.

All events take place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 and include one drink and light appetizers.
