For those that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and have lost their job or are currently unemployed, Jefferson College is making CARES Act funding available to potential students to cover tuition and workforce-ready training.

Qualified individuals may access CARES Act funds to prepare for careers in Health Information Technology, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Business Management, Computer Information Systems, HVAC Technology, or Welding by working toward an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree. If students are unable to enroll for program-specific classes, CARES Act funding can also pay for general education credits toward the AAS degree in the designated fields.

A series of short-term training programs is also available under CARES Act funding including Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Technician/Insulin, Certified Nursing Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Manufacturing Technician, and Logistic Technician.

To learn more about tuition-free degree and training programs through the CARES Act at Jefferson College, contact the Admissions Department at (636) 481-3226 or or Assistant Director of Workforce and Employment Services Lora Warner at (636) 481-3223 or
