Real Estate Agents Offer Alternative Home Showings in Response to Coronavirus Concerns.

Chesterfield-based RE/MAX Vision offers virtual home showings to home buyers.

St. Louis - Amid concerns for the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), RE/MAX Vision, a residential real estate brokerage with its corporate office in Chesterfield MO, is offering home buyers the option to participate in home showings through a virtual, live video walkthrough rather than physically walking through the home.

In response to the concern, Broker Owner, Matt Delhougne says, “Virtual or live video showings are really nothing new in our office. Our agents use this method quite often with homebuyers who are relocating to our area as well as with out-of-town investors. Our office receives over 2,000 connections from home buyers each month and most of them are not aware that this is an option. If we can provide peace of mind to our clients and still help them accomplish their homeownership goals, we’re doing our job.”

“Our client care coordinators and agents are happy to offer the option to any client who may be immunocompromised, have small children or elderly parents who would like to see the home, or if the client is simply concerned with the risk of exposure and unknown future of Coronavirus,” Delhougne states.

According to Delhougne, RE/MAX Vision has not seen a slowdown in the demand for homes. The market continues to have more buyers interested in purchasing than homes for sale.  Delhougne reminds his agents that people are always going to need to upsize, downsize, have a desire to live closer to their work or children’s school, grow their families and move into a new city. The virtual showing option allows home buyers and sellers to continue ‘life as usual,’ mitigate the opportunities for exposure and enjoy the benefits of homeownership.
