St. Louis Brand Louisa Foods Named “Frozen Food Processor of the Year”

ST. LOUIS, MO, November 17, 2021 -- What began as an in-home husband-and-wife team pressing out ravioli by hand over 50 years ago has earned the title “Frozen Food Processor of the Year” by industry-leading publication Refrigerated and Frozen Food Magazine.

Coming off a banner year for their retail products, Louisa Foods, St. Louis-based purveyors of fresh, frozen, stuffed pasta including Louisa Foods Toasted Beef Ravioli, is honored to announce they have been awarded the title of “Frozen Food Processor of the Year” by Refrigerated and Frozen Foods Magazine.

Each year, industry-leading publication Refrigerated and Frozen Foods Magazine, a supplement to Food Engineering, hosts a competition to earn the coveted title “Frozen Food Processor of the Year”. Previous winners include B&G Foods (2019), makers of the Green Giant frozen vegetable brand. The newest brand to join the distinguished list of winners is Louisa Foods Products, Inc.

Highlighting their innovative processes, focus on fresh ingredients, and exemplary food safety efforts, Louisa Foods snagged the title after entering the competition in late July. The award comes with a cover feature on Refrigerated and Frozen Foods Magazine for November 2021 highlighting both the Louisa products and plant.

Tom Baldetti, owner/operator of Louisa Foods, admits a lot of the thanks belongs to the team at Louisa Foods. “I think what separates us from our competitors is the quality of people in our organization and their willingness to stretch what we are capable of.
