"NO ONE WRITES SMALL-TOWN ROMANCES LIKE LAURA MILLER."

From the Author
Within Love Story, you will find quotes from my small-town novels. Some are songs. Some are letters. And some are words right from the characters’ mouths. Along with these quotes, however, you will also find poems that were, until now, handwritten and tucked inside the pages of an old journal. I wrote most of them on a little, secluded beach on Sullivan’s Island in South Carolina. I was younger, entranced by the warm, salt water, reflective and dreaming of home.
My hope is that you enjoy the new ballads that live inside the covers of this book. And also, I hope that you find this book a safe place to land when you feel like venturing back into the sleepy, little towns of New Milford, Sweet Home and Ava.
So, in short, this book is old, and this book is new. But like all my small-town stories, this book is ultimately a love story—from my heart to yours.
