“Yoga for Humanity” is the theme for International Day Of Yoga 2022, which is on June 21. On this day, people around the world celebrate the importance of yoga and the physical and mental health benefits that yoga can bring to people’s lives.
No one can provide greater testimony to the benefits of yoga than 74-year-old Dr. Jaime Sanchez, who recently returned to St. Louis from an International yoga tour to Venezuela and Costa Rica. Dr. Sanchez is a naturopathic doctor and founder of several yoga schools in the U.S. and Venezuela, including West East Yoga in St. Louis.
Even in his 8th decade, Sanchez states, “I feel great thanks to yoga.”
Beginning on International Day of Yoga, Dr. Sanchez will begin teaching chair yoga at More 4 Life, a physical therapy and wellness practice in Manchester, MO in order to help other seniors feel great as well.

Dr. Dave Candy, physical therapist and owner of More 4 Life, is delighted about the partnership. “We help people stay active, mobile, and healthy without pain medication, injections, or surgery, and yoga is one great way to do that.”
Dr. Sanchez states, “Yoga is for all kinds of people: old people, young people, people who are flexible and not flexible, people who are sick and not sick. Yoga is for everyone because it’s all about moving, and moving is the key for recovery.”
