There is a $5.00 suggested donation at the door.
Mitrata-Nepal Foundation For Children, Executive Director & Founder, Dr. Christine Schutz, had this to say about this spectacular upcoming St. Louis event: “We are very excited to offer our Holiday Bazaar over two days this year! I just returned from Nepal, where I selected a wide variety of clothing, decorations, jewelry, and unique items from the Himalayas that make great holiday gifts. These handicrafts are hand-made by Nepali families and artisans that we have known for years. Every dollar spent at our Holiday Bazaar goes toward supporting underprivileged children in Nepal through education, healthcare, housing, and other support services. The Mitrata-Nepal Foundation for Children empowers children to reach their potential and lifts families from the cycle of poverty. So, come out, enjoy great shopping and delicious food, and help us make a difference one child at a time!”
Mitrata-Nepal is currently educating and empowering 115+ severely underprivileged children to reach their full potential as citizens of Nepal. They strive to maximally impact the lives of these children who, in turn, contribute to their community. They welcome one child at a time and make an impactful difference in their life regardless of the child’s aptitude or challenges.
ABOUT MITRATA-NEPAL FOUNDATION FOR CHILDREN:
Mitrata-Nepal Foundation for Children is a St. Louis-based micro nonprofit working in one of the poorest and least developed countries in the world. We envision a Nepal where all children have the opportunity to be educated and reach their unique and full potential regardless of economic situation. Teaching a child empowers the family, lifts them from poverty, and develops a community and a country. As victims of child laborers or having parents who are itinerant workers, the children are not enrolled in school. They lack school-readiness skills, are neglected and malnourished, all of which interfere with their ability to learn. Approaching our children’s development holistically, we provide individualized education, housing, healthcare, early childhood development, and support services such as nutrition, hygiene, counseling, empowerment programs, university/trade school scholarships, and career development. We are currently educating and empowering 115+ severely underprivileged children to reach their full potential as citizens of Nepal.
