2019 UW-Madison Gateway Badgers Alumni Scholarship Winners

Six St. Louis area students who are incoming freshman at the University of Wisconsin-Madison received a total of $12,000 in scholarships this year, thanks to the efforts of the Gateway Badgers, the local St. Louis area chapter of the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA).  Student scholarships uphold the long tradition of volunteer and financial support at the University of Wisconsin-Madison by its alumni and friends.

The incoming students and their parents recently met WAA chapter leaders, scholarship committee members, other regional incoming freshman students and alumni at the annual Badger Student Send-Off Celebration. The event was held at Center of Clayton, 50 Gay Avenue, Clayton, MO. Ben Cummings (John Burroughs HS), Drew Hardwick (John Burroughs HS), Gaby Hertel (Webster Groves HS), Ali Kuskowski (Webster Groves HS), Patrick LaVallee (St Louis Priory HS), and Maggie Murrell (Parkway Central HS) were awarded the 2019 WAA scholarships and were recognized at this event.
