US Men's National Deaf Ice Hockey Team wins gold at 2019 Deaflympics - Fenton, Missouri Hockey player part of the team

Please see the press release below in regards to the US Men's National Deaf Ice Hockey Team that competed in Italy at the Deaflympics December 2019. The US team won the gold medal and wanted to share a player on the team is local from Fenton, MO.  Jake Schlereth, 18,  is a rookie named to the team who has played hockey in the St Louis area for the Meramec Sharks,  Chesterfield Falcons Central States and Northwest High School Varsity Hockey which he was captain for 2 years and the leading scorer.  Jake graduated from Northwest High School in May 2019 and is now playing hockey in the USPHL Tier III Hockey Junior league for the Chicago Cougars while also being named to the US Men's National Deaf Ice Hockey Team.

Jake also is the participant of the St Louis Blues Plager Youth Scholarship in 2016. The scholarship is awarded annually to a player who exemplifies commitment, leadership, loyalty, respect and toughness.
