SCOUTING REPORT • The Rockies had a winning record at Busch II at 29-27 but are only 9-20 at new Busch Stadium since 2006.

Former Cardinals No. 1 draft choice Adam Ottavino, now sporting “0” as his number, hadn’t allowed an earned run in his last 10 2/3 innings for the Rockies and was holding righthanded hitters to a .147 average before Thursday.

Rockies closer Rafael Betancourt, like the Cardinals’ Edward Mujica, was nine for nine in save opportunities.

This might be your last look at 39-year-old first baseman Todd Helton in a Rockies uniform. Helton, whose contract expires after this season, has a .320 lifetime average and 356 home runs in a major league career which began with the Rockies in 1997. He will pass the 2,500 hit mark later this season.
