Jones-Drew reserved
The Jacksonville Jaguars put running back Maurice Jones-Drew on the reserve/did not report list, an indication the team doesn't expect its star player to show up to training camp soon. He is holding out in hopes of getting the team to renegotiate his contract. He has two years remaining on a five-year, $31 million deal.
Broncos • Quarterback Peyton Manning's first full practice in pads in 18 months drew rave reviews from his coaches and teammates — and at least one suggestion that his health no longer is an issue. He put on an aerial show, the latest milestone to his comeback from a nerve injury that cost him all of last season and led to his release by Indianapolis.
Seahawks • The team opened training camp with most of the focus on the three-way battle for the starting quarterback position between Matt Flynn, Tarvaris Jackson and Russell Wilson. Jackson took the snaps with the first unit but coach Pete Carroll said each quarterback will get an equal share of snaps during the early stages of camp.
