Josh Payne had two goals and two assists to lead Carbondale to a 7-1 win over visiting Marion Thursday. He was credited with the game winning goal.

Other key offensive contributors for Carbondale were Ibsaa Benti (two goals), Sajad Nasser (one goal, one assist), Jacob Collie (one goal), Ian Davis (one goal) and James Oberg (two assists). Carbondale keeper Nathaniel Pimentel stopped four of five shots he faced to pick up the win. Dresden Bell scored the goal for Marion.

Carbondale (14-0) plays at home against Centralia, Illinois on Monday at 5 p.m. Marion (4-7) will host Althoff on Saturday at 11 a.m.
