The O'Fallon girls soccer team won its first regional championship since 2007 with a 2-0 victory Saturday against Alton to claim the Class 3A Alton Regional title.

The Panthers (14-7-2) got a pair of first-half goals from forward Aubrey Mister and a goalkeeping shutout from sophomore Grace Vincent. It was Vincent's sixth shutout of the season.

Freshman forward Anna Chor and junior midfielder Jennai Duggar each had an assist on the goals by Mister, who has found the back of the net 17 times this season.

Alton finished 15-10-1.

O'Fallon will play Edwardsville (14-8) in a Class 3A Moline Sectional semifinal at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Collinsville High. Edwardsville beat O'Fallon 2-1 twice earlier this season.

Decatur St. Teresa 1, Carlinville 0  Junior forward Kaylee Kleist scored midway through the first half as the Bulldogs (20-2-2) beat the Cavaliers in the Class 1A Litchfield Sectional final.

Carlinville junior Sarah DeNeve had 10 saves in the loss.

St. Teresa advanced to meet Columbia in the Class 1A Columbia Super-Sectional at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The winner will advance to a state semifinal.

St. Clair 4, Logan-Rogersville 1  The Bulldogs' magical run continued with a home victory in a Class 2 sectional.

Just days after winning the first district title in program history, St. Clair (15-7-1) used a strong start to beat Logan-Rogersville.

Freshman forward Kaitlyn Johnson scored a minute in on a pass from junior forward Zoe Gaszak to put the Bulldogs up for good.

Senior midfielder Madison Husereau, Gaszak and sophomore midfielder Kynzi Humphrey each added goals in the first half.

Senior goalkeeper Courtney Williams made six saves in goal for St. Clair, which will face Pleasant Hill (22-1) in a Class 2 quarterfinal Wednesday.

Visitation 3, Trinity 2  Freshman midfielder Izzy DeStefano scored the game-winner and senior forward Jaimie Tottleben added a pair of goals as the Vivettes beat the Titans in a Class 2 sectional on the road.

Junior Rose Fontana made four saves to earn the victory in goal.

Visitation (16-4) will play Southern Boone in a quarterfinal Wednesday.
