Pacific, ranked sixth among Class 3 squads by missouriwrestling.com, went 9-0 to win the Don Fuhrmann Duals at Hillsboro. Washington, Hillsboro and Kirkwood rounded out the top four at the 10-team event.

Leading the way for Pacific were two-time state medalist James Anding (182), 2018 state medalist Ben Courtney (160), Noah Patton (126) and Collum Sitek (132).

Other 9-0 finishers from the area were: Festus' Dillon French at 106; Washington's Tate Hendricks at 113; Hillsboro's Dalton Litzsinger at 120; Washington's Louis Obermark at 145; Kirkwood's Dalton Rawlins at 170; Mehlville's Ibrahima Sy at 195; Hillsboro's Jordan Cage at 220; and Hillsboro's Joe Becker at 285.

OTHER HOLIDAY RESULTS

• Jackson won the 51st Kinloch Classic at Parkview High in Springfield, Mo. Area teams in the 23-team field were 13th-place St. Clair and 14th-place Windsor.

Leading the way for St. Clair were individual champions Ryan Herman and Aaron Herman at 182 and 285, respectively. Ryan, who won the Class 2 title at 138 in 2017 and finished third at 152 a year ago, improved to 21-0 while Aaron, a fifth-place medalist at 195 last season, improved to 18-1. The Bulldogs' Dalton Thompson, who took fifth at 106 in 2017, took fourth last week at 132.

For Windsor, Grant Pauli (18-2) was runner-up at 152 while teammate Austin Henry placed fourth at 170. Pauli was a fifth-place finsher in Class 3 at state last year.

• At the 23-team Lincoln Holiday Tournament, won by Antioch, Highland placed 10th, Jerseyville 12th and Waterloo 20th.

Highland's Alex Reed (18-3) took second at 182, with teammates Tanner Schranz (106) and Devin Wills (160) each placing fourth. Jerseyville's Zeke Waltz took fifth at 152 while Waterloo's Glen Cadell was a fourth-place finisher at 170.

• Althoff went undefeated in pool competition and ended up eighth in the Gold Division of the 55-team Abe's Rumble in Springfield, Ill. Roxana finished seventh in an 11-team consolation bracket after losing four pool-match duals.

Althoff had four undefeated wrestlers — Shawn Minick (10-0) at 113/120, Isaiah Bernal (9-0) at 120/126, Anthony Federico (9-0) at 132/138 and Max Kristoff (9-0) at 145/152 — while Joe Braunagel went 8-1 at 170/182 and Nolan Schmidt won five of six matches at 220/285.

For Roxana, Logan Carpenter was 7-0 at 145/152, with Zach Hayes (120), Matthew Olbert (126/132) and Alex Maguire (152/15) all finishing 6-1.

• At the 58th William “Red” Schmitt Holiday Tournament at Granite City, CBC finished second to Marmion Academy, getting championships from sophomore Vinnie Verban (20-3) at 138 and senior Harrison Diffley (13-6) at heavyweight and runner-up finishes from junior Joshua Saunders (20-1) at 138, senior Kyle Prewitt (14-2) at 145, senior Will Edgar (14-6) at 160 and freshman Jack Darrah (16-2) at 182.

Lafayette senior Austin Wegener (19-0) won the championship at 220 while Alton junior Kyle Hughes (19-2) finished second to CBC's Diffley at 285.

Other top-five finishers from the area were:

Third place: Whitfield freshman Jason Shaw (26-3) at 106; Lafayette junior Jalin Reese (15-3) at 113; Lafayette senior Jaylen Carson (19-3) at 132; Mascoutah junior Caleb Grau (21-2) at 170; and Fort Zumwalt South senior Jacob Adams (23-5) at 285.

Fourth place: Whitfield freshman Evan Binder (23-7) at 106; Whitfield's Logan Ferrero (22-4) at 113; Lafayette senior Jayden Carson (16-2) at 120; Mascoutah sophomore Kylan Montgomery (19-4) at 126; Whitfield senior Wade Raeman (23-6) at 132; and Fort Zumwalt South junior Evan Bragee (15-3) at 220.

Fifth place: Alton senior Garrett Sims (19-6) at 126; and Triad junior Garrett Bakarich (20-3) at 145.
