At a recent Association for Corporate Growth event, a group of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Business students tied for second place in the Interuniversity Cup competition.

Organized to provide business students with mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, financial advisory and private equity experience, as well as valuable real-world insights, the case study opportunity allows those within the competition the chance to interact and work with professionals from within the ACG community.

A team of graduate students from the Washington University in St. Louis Olin Business School took first prize. Teams from SIUE and the University of Missouri-St. Louis tied for second place. The schools took part in a weeklong competition that involved critical thinking and problem-solving skills assessments, as well as two rounds of case analysis.

The SIUE team took a $2,000 cash prize and ACG memberships. ACG is a global community for middle-market mergers and acquisitions, dealmakers and business leaders focused on driving growth.
