Cop chats with girls about law enforcement

On Dec. 11, city of Edwardsville Police Officer Joy Davis conducted a session about law enforcement for Girl Scouts attending the Cadette STEM Series program at Camp Torqua in Edwardsville. Davis taught girls about careers in law enforcement, as well as shared techniques for reading body language and fingerprinting. She is also a school resource officer and D.A.R.E. spokeswoman. Davis was a Girl Scout through her sophomore year of high school.
