Granite City arrest reports for the week of Feb. 27

BURGLARY: On Feb. 19, a 48-year-old resident of the 2800 block of Madison Avenue was arrested on the 2800 block of Madison Avenue on the charge of attempted burglary.

POSSESSION: On Feb. 19, a 28-year-old resident of the 600 block of South 5th Street, Brooklyn, was arrested on the 300 block of West Pontoon Road on the charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance less than 15 grams.

• On Feb. 18, a 22-year-old resident of the 2400 block of East 24th Street was arrested at the same address on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Feb. 17, a 35-year-old resident of the 2800 block of Myrtle Avenue was arrested at the same address on charges of possession of cannabis more than 2.5 grams and less than 10 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Feb. 15, a 23-year-old resident of the 2100 block of Pontoon Road was arrested at the intersection of Rode Avenue and Pontoon Road on the charge of possession of cannabis more than 2.5 grams and less than 10 grams.

• On Feb. 15, a 30-year-old resident of the 1700 block of Ferguson Avenue was arrested on the 2300 block of Madison Avenue on the charge of unlawful acquisition of a controlled substance.

• On Feb. 14, a 36-year-old resident of the 3000 block of Iowa Street was arrested on the 2600 block of State Street on the charge of possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams.

• On Feb. 13, a 38-year-old resident of the 3200 block of Wayne Avenue was arrested at the Madison County Jail on the charge of possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams.

DECEPTIVE PRACTICES: On Feb. 15, a 50-year-old resident of the 1200 block of North 41st Street, East St. Louis, was arrested on the 2300 block of Madison Avenue on the charge of deceptive practices.

OBSTRUCTION: On Feb. 18, a 46-year-old resident of the 2800 block of Sunset Drive was arrested on the 2100 block of Madison Avenue on charges of resisting or obstructing a peace officer and driving without insurance.

THEFT: On Feb. 19, a 32-year-old resident of the seventh block of Tulip Court was arrested on the 300 block of West Pontoon Road on the charge of retail theft.

• On Feb. 19, a 27-year-old resident of the 2000 block of Bryan Avenue was arrested on the 300 block of West Pontoon Road on the charge of retail theft.

• On Feb. 17, a 51-year-old resident of the 900 block of Frontenac Street, Cahokia, was arrested on the 2400 block of Grand Avenue on the charge of theft under $300.

• On Feb. 14, a 39-year-old resident of the 20 block of Steelcrest Drive was arrested at the intersection of Jill and Davis Avenues on charges of theft under $300 from a person and aggravated driving under the influence.

INTERFERENCE: On Feb. 16, a 32-year-old resident of the 2400 block of Grand Avenue was arrested on the 2300 block of Madison Avenue on the charge of unlawful visitation interference.

FORGERY: On Feb. 19, a 26-year-old resident of the 2100 block of Chambers Avenue, St. Louis, was arrested at the Madison County Jail on the charge of forgery.

• On Feb. 23, a 24-year-old resident of the 4000 block of Oakmont Drive was arrested on the 2100 block of Robert Avenue on the charge of forgery.

TRESPASSING: On Feb. 19, a 22-year-old resident of the 500 block of Thorngate Drive was arrested on the 2300 block of Madison Avenue on the charge of criminal trespass to property.

DUI: On Feb. 19, a 19-year-old resident of the 50 block of Raes Creek Drive was arrested on the tenth block of Wilson Park Drive on the charge of driving under the influence.

VIOLATION: On Feb. 13, a 23-year-old resident of the 2200 block of Edna Street was arrested on the 2900 block of Cayuga Street on a charge of unlawful violation of an order of protection-second subsequent offense.

Madison County Sheriff's Department

THEFT: On Feb. 22, an 18-year-old resident of the 4300 block of State Route 162, Granite City, was arrested at the same address on the charge of theft over $500 following an incident Feb. 17. On Feb. 17, deputies responded to a call in the 4800 block of Warnock Avenue, Granite City, with a victim reporting the theft of a flat screen television, video system and Polaroid Tablet. The victim identified the 18-year-old who had been a guest at the house before the thefts. Bond was set at $35,000.
