Raven Moon wrapped up the 2007 Music at Metter summer concert series Aug. 5.

Despite warm temperatures dedicated music fans came out to Columbia's Metter Memorial Park to enjoy a great variety of musical entertainment sponsored by Maverick Technologies.

Members of Turner Hall prepared hot dogs and brats and offered ice cold drinks. Representatives from Bridges of Columbia Alternatives for Seniors once again gave out free water bottle fans to help keep the crowd cool and The Market Place introduced a few nice wines with a free tasting.

The Music at Metter summer concert series has become a very popular and successful event in Columbia and plans are underway for another summer concert series in 2008.

Metter Memorial Park once again will be the place to be Sept. 7 with the first Movies at Metter event. Movies are also scheduled Sept. 21 and Oct. 5.

A large movie screen will be set up in front of the bandstand for a pleasant evening of movies under the stars.

Thanks to many generous local businesses Movies at Metter will be free to the public. Seating is not available, so be sure to bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Local organizations will sell popcorn, nachos, candy, hot dogs and cold soft drinks.
