Cullinan Properties, owner and developer of the Streets of St. Charles, recently announced the upcoming addition of Play Street Museum and Cherry Blow Dry Bar to its development, according to a press release.

Both Play Street Museum and Cherry Blow Dry Bar will be located at 1650 Beale St., in St. Charles, and both are slated to open in February.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome these concepts which are ‘first to the St. Louis market’ locations for both franchises and further contribute to the unique mix offered at Streets of St. Charles,” said Kathleen Brill, vice president and director of leasing for Cullinan Properties, Ltd.

Play Street Museum, started in Texas, offers children eight and younger a variety of interactive toys and games such as construction blocks, life-sized farm animals and miniature cities that allow them to play and pretend — much like a world class museum on a smaller scale.

Play Street Museum will welcome children and their guardians during normal business operating hours Monday through Friday, while hosting events and special parties on weekends.

Play Street Museum will be located on the south end of Beale St., next to Mission Taco Joint.

“We are thrilled to bring Play Street Museum to the St. Louis area and we know St. Charles is the perfect place to start," said St. Charles franchise co-owners Nicole Simon and Kellie Geraghty. “Our favorite thing about Play Street Museum is that it gives kids a space to be independent, unplug, and use their imaginations. Play Street is not a typical children’s museum —because of our smaller size, children can be independent while their parents can relax knowing the kids are exploring and learning in a safe place.”

Cherry Blow Dry Bar, a rapidly expanding franchise that provides premium express services, including blowouts, hair extensions, makeup services and treatments, will be located facing Lombard St., adjacent to Bar Louie.

Cherry Blow Dry Bar offers blowouts for hair of any length starting at about $35. Customers can pick and choose from the salon’s styling menu, which includes nine different hairstyles — from updos and beachy waves to braids and voluminous curls. Salons offer three types of memberships, starting at about $59 for two monthly blowouts.

Local husband and wife owners Lance and Abby Millican are thrilled to expand Cherry Blow Dry Bar’s presence into Missouri.

“We’re excited to be located at Streets of St. Charles, where we can offer women something truly unique in glam styling and do so at an affordable price," they said. "Our customers will enjoy the experience our services provide.”
