Case 1: Ms. T is a single mother of six who was involved in a devastating car wreck. She was left with a brain injury, nerve damage and the placement of two metal plates and five screws in her head. Life has been an ongoing struggle, and while three of her six kids are older, she has a 16-year-old, a 10-year-old and an 8-year-old who need her. The crash left her without transportation and unable to work, straining her ability to provide for her family. Ms. T would be grateful for help with her utilities, which she’s behind on, clothing for her younger children, gift certificates for personal hygiene and cleaning products or toys and games for her kids.
Case 2: Ms. T’s world was turned upside down when her 17-year-old son suffered a severe head injury after a fall, requiring emergency brain surgery, and although he was able to return home, complications soon followed. He was rushed back to the hospital and underwent a second surgery, where a part of his skull was removed. Her son is now slowly recovering and is continuing his education from home with hopes of returning to school next semester. The injury led to overwhelming medical bills and then Ms. T lost her job after missing work to care for her son. Their family would greatly appreciate help this holiday season with rent, utility, food and medical bills.
