The Creve Coeur Recreation Department works year-round to plan programming and recreation opportunities for everyone to experience the fun and health benefits of parks and recreation. Join us in celebrating Parks and Recreation Month by attending one of our programs this July.
Summer concert – free
Thursday, July 9, 2026 • 6:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m. • Millennium Park
Pack a picnic, bring your folding chairs and blankets, and enjoy live music this summer in Millennium Park located at 2 Barnes West Drive. Jeremiah Johnson and his four-piece band blend the sounds of the south, with Mississippi River blues and a touch of country flair. If you like blues rock with southern flavors, you are going to love this show. Kiwanis will have barbecue, chips and soda available for purchase. (Rain date July 16.)
During the July summer concert, Canvas for Kids is more than just an art class; it’s a platform for children to explore their imagination, develop confidence and connect with others through creativity. Designed and led by artist Faith Berger, the program provides a guided painting experience where participants create their own masterpieces while contributing to a collaborative community canvas. This class will be held under the red Creve Coeur tent in the lawn by the South Pavilion.
Before the July summer concert, Mini Music STL is an interactive musical experience for infants, toddlers and preschoolers accompanied by a parent, grandparent or caregiver. Children and grown-ups will play instruments such as drums, egg shakers, rhythm sticks and more and dance with props including parachutes and scarves. This session will be held under the red Creve Coeur tent in the lawn by the South Pavilion.
Parks and Recreation Month photo contest
The Creve Coeur Parks and Recreation Department is looking for your best photographs of the city’s parks, golf course or ice rink. Whether you are swinging the day away, catching a park at golden hour or capturing a fun family moment, staff want to see the city’s parks and recreation spaces through your eyes. Winning submissions will be printed on a square canvas and hung in the Dielmann Recreation Complex. Submit your entries by Friday, July 31.
