A water main replacement project is planned for the Webster Woods subdivision.
Weather permitting, a contractor for Missouri American Water will begin work on Monday, June 29. The project area is immediately south of Interstate 44 and east of Berry Road, including portions of Webster Woods Drive along with sections of Grove Avenue, Armin Lane, and Iris Place.
A contractor will replace approximately 3,150 feet of pipe for improved reliability. Residents with underground fencing and lawn irrigation should mark these lines to reduce the likelihood of damage during construction.
The project duration is estimated at six to eight months with weekday work hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There are two instances where homeowners may experience a disruption in water service:
When the water service line is disconnected from the old main to the new pipe.
When the new pipe is connected to the existing water system.
Advance notice will be provided of anticipated service disruptions. Final cleanup and site restoration will begin within a few weeks after the new main and services are installed.
