Due to impending inclement weather conditions, tonight’s Sunset with the Symphony concert will be held in the St. Charles City-County Library Spencer Road Branch located at 427 Spencer Road, St. Peters, MO 63376, from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Admission remains free and open to the public.
The world-renowned St. Louis Symphony Orchestra will perform a special concert featuring string and woodwind musicians. Guests can enjoy an evening of live orchestral music in a comfortable indoor setting while celebrating America 250 through the power of music.
The concert will conclude with a joyful, community-wide rendition of "America the Beautiful." Audience members are invited to participate by singing or bringing an instrument to join the performance. Beginner and intermediate parts, along with special lyrics, are available for free download. To download music and participation materials, visit slso.org.
Sunset with the Symphony is presented in community partnership with the City of St. Peters, the St. Charles City-County Library Foundation and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
Chairs will be provided at the branch, so there is no need to bring lawn chairs or blankets. There will be less room than at the park, so small snacks and drinks are allowed, but no large picnics or alcohol.
Please carpool if possible because there will be less parking than at the park. Overflow parking is available at the library’s administrative offices behind Spencer Road at 77 Boone Hills Drive, and at St. Peters Public Works, 100 Boone Hills Drive.
